As everyone else is also reporting today, the US Department of Veterans Affairs has officially added the pentacle to the list of allowable gravestone marker symbols. Many kudos are due to Circle Sanctuary and all who helped correct this inequity.

I am struggling to finish a sermon for this Sunday’s Earth Day service at my UU church; if I have a minute and something quick to say I may post, but I promise nothing.
I’ll return to a more regular posting schedule next week; in the meantime, I leave you with this:

I haven’t said so explicitly until now, but in operating this blog I have tried to be consciously guided by the principle of Gastblogschaft, as developed by Bernulf and Sojourner. I see it as a natural expression of xenia, the principle of guest/host relations that is such an important part of the Hellenic tradition.
