Call for submissions – Cernunnos devotional

Rick over at Of Oak And Ivy 2 Torches and 7 Tines just announced that he is accepting submissions for a devotional to Cernunnos. The announcement follows.

A Devotional for Cernunnos (currently untitled)

Formal Announcement

I am now accepting submissions for a new devotional book for Cernunnos. This is a book of devotions for The Horned One being written by myself, and I would like to include a large section dedicated to others personal experiance with him. I am particularly looking for essays based on UPG, poetry, artwork, rituals, and short stories.

It does not matter your path, or whether you are Wiccan, Druid, Recon, or just a general pagan doing your own thing. It does not matter if you call him Cernunnos, Herne, “The Horned God” or by any other names he is known by. It does not matter if you are a hard or soft polytheist. The point is to bring into one collection how different people from different paths worship and experience him in all of his manifestations. I’m looking for how the God touches you in your life.

The deadline for submission will be Samhain, October 31st, 2010.

Please email your submission to raderks @ gmail . com

At the moment, this will be a self-published volume (unless a publisher decides to pick it up in the meantime). If you feel inclined Please pass the word along, re-post it on your blog or message boards! I would like for as many people as possible to have the chance to submit to this.

I maintain the right to refuse any submission for any reason, but in particular anything bad mouthing another diety, or equating Cernunnos to the Christian concept of Satan will be rejected (I hopefully shouldn’t even need to say this).

Thank you for the re-post! Just a quick note in case anyone notices, I had the change the name of the project. Didn’t realize it was already taken by a book by DJ Conway of people! This is what I get for not googling before I think of things. It’s currently untitled for the moment.

Titles aren’t actually copyrighted so you could still allowably use it – but I understand not wanting to get these confused!
